Support

February 13, 2007 · 4 Comments

Two remarkable women out there need some support.  So, let’s give it.

First Head over to Dream Mommy’s site.  Her foster daughter has passed away.  They loved that little girl with all they had. Her sister left an update in the comments.

Many of us have had miscarriages, threatened miscarriages, and just plain scary pregnancies.  So you understand when a fellow woman out there is scared for the life of her child, how much it means to have support.  I don’t normally do this, but please lend some support to MamaChix.  Whether you leave a comment or not, please say a prayer for her and her unborn child.  She’s a fellow Stirrup Queen, and an amazing woman in general.

My heart goes out to these women.

This and That

First of all, thank you to everybody for playing nice on class number five.  I know it’s a hot button topic, and it’s nice to see everybody being respectful of other’s feelings and beliefs.

Secondly, we are working on the details of the Huntsville, Alabama Infertility Support Group.  More information on that will follow soon.  Now, all we need is a name for the group!  Any ideas?

Here’s a fun one!  I have lost eight pounds now!  Thursdays have been picked as measurements day.  I enlist the help of my mother, so I may be held accountable.  That, and it is much easier to have somebody else measure than doing it yourself.  I find it more accurate.  So, I can’t wait for Thursday!  I know there will be a lot of this is toofast comments, but here’s my take.  1.)  I am following to the “T” my doctor’s prescribed diet and exercise program.  2.)  I am taking in 1400 calories a day, and am not starving myself.  3.)  No, I’m not strapped to a treadmill.  I alternate doing 60 minutes of cardio one day and 60 minutes of strength training the next.  4.)  If pounds were percentages and weight loss were infertility odds…try this.  If you could increase your odds of getting pregnant by one to two percent every week would you want your odds to increase faster?  What if there was a slight detriment to your health (as some feel)?  Just trying to help you understand.  For those who claim Rome wasn’t built in a day.  Ummm…well, I gained 40 pounds between August and December.  That’s just not normal.  So, I feel like I’ve found something that works.  That’s a relief!

Today Justin is getting his Alabama driver’s license.  Then, we are both going to get our TB test.  I’m considering calling our s.ocial w.orker, because she was supposed to call us ages ago to schedule our home visit.

By continued research on behalf of my mother, she managed to save us $150 on our hotel bill for our trip to D.aytona B.each in March.  So, that’s always nice!  I’m more than ready for summer, and I have no right to complain.  My in-laws have six feet of snow.  Icky.

Ok, must go work out now!  Oh, Mel thanks for the drink!
