Frequent Driver Miles

Well, in just 44 hours (who’s counting?) we will be back on the road again.  Can you hear the song in  your head?  C’mon sing with me!  On the road again…. yeah, I don’t know all the words either.  This time our destination is Fairfax, VA.  Yes, I’m fully aware there isn’t a beach there or palm trees for that matter, but it does have some of the people that we love a whole bunch.  That counts, right?! 

Every single one of my past four road trips have been to see family or pseudo family.  This trip is no exception.  However, I’m excited!  It’s been a while, and Justin’s family can be a real riot!  Sitting around the table with Justin’s dad and uncles is like watching a comedy movie that is side splitting funny.  So, as long as I can avoid killing my diet and missing my exercise, everything should be a lot of fun! 

I will be gone from this Friday to Monday.  Just a short little jaunt, but I’m certain the 24 hours of driving won’t feel all that short!

I guess my body is now doing what a “normal” woman who is dieting would do.  For the record that means “not pregnant” and losing weight.  Since Sunday, my body has lost 4.2 pounds.  Yes, I’m eating (and well.)  No, I’m not truly exercising, just walking slowly for a short period of time.  So, by this weekend, I’m hoping to get into full on back to working out mode.  Oh the endless battle with my body….big grrrr.

The s.ocial w.orker is supposed to be coming to our house tonight, but I’m not really holding my breath considering our experiences thus far with her.  I tasked Justin with calling her to confirm considering I don’t think she likes me.  Perhaps he will have better luck!

Thank you to all of you amazing women out there who have been so supportive!  Ok, and some guys too!  It means a great deal to me.
