Well, I’m not sure who handled the shots better, Lucky, my mother, or me. I’m thinking Braden may win that contest. He was sleeping so peacefully, and then they had to go and stick needles in his thighs…three of them. He let out blood curdling high pitched screams. It was about that time that I started tearing up. I’ve heard all of his cries, except pain. That was a cry of pain. It’s for his own good, but it didn’t make it much easier. I’m more than happy that is over! No more immunizations until October.
To make up for his ummm….terrible trauma, he simply had to have a bear from Wacky Bear. (Think Build a Bear only a different chain.) I’ll post pictures tomorrow of his new acquisition.
In other news, what’s that old saying? Oh yeah, when it rains it pours. Justin was in a motorcycle accident today. He’s fine. He was only going 15 miles per hour. He was turning in a business’ parking lot and hit gravel. The bike is fine. It has a scratch or two and is now missing one mirror. Not a big deal, and it’s pretty inexpensive and easy to fix. I’m just thankful that Justin is ok. He went to the doctor to get checked out, and they cleaned his road rash, medicated, and wrapped it up.
So, my two boys are both bandaged and not feeling too well. Wish me luck surviving their debacles. I think I’m about to have a very sleepless night. Can y’all just remind me what my name is tomorrow?

Yeah, those immunizations are killers. I was always more hysterical than Max was - made my heart clench and fall to pieces all at once. I wish I could say it gets easier ;-(
And I’m so glad Justin is okay! When I got to that part of your post I had a quick intake of breath that I didn’t let go until I read “He’s fine.” Thank G-d for small favors.

Oh Becky. Thank god Justin is ok. It must have been horrible to get the call. I hope that the little guy feels better from his shots soon.
Sending lots of hugs to Casa Winks!

I’ve had the “I’ve been in an accident” calls more than once. The day that someone else makes the call for him is when I’ll start flipping out.
Congrats on getting through the shots. I was nervous about them.

Your name is *Team* *Winks* or *World of Winks*. Write it on your tax return. Sign your name with it at the bank. If you forget, just ask me - I’ll set you straight
Hope that’s the last of the casualties for the time being.

i’m betting Lucky gets over his trauma WAAAY before justin, that whole “men are such babies” thing doesn’t set in until they’re adults, right?
in all seriousness, so glad he is okay!

I realized it after I had sixteen comments already. Hmmm, should go and fix that.

I promised that I wouldn’t comment while on vacation, but I had to tell you that I’m glad everyone is okay — Lucky from the shots, and DH from the accident!
